Glenn T. Wrate received his B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Michigan Technological University (MTU) in 1984 and 1986, respectively. He worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power from 1986 to 1992, primarily in the Special Studies and HVDC Stations Group. He returned to MTU in 1992, and received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in November, 1996. He has accepted an Assistant Professorship at Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he will begin teaching in September. His present interests are in transient analysis and nonlinear modeling of power systems. His research is being supported by Northern States Power Company. He is a member of HKN and IEEE, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in California.
