somewhat serious question: How is the roommate situation? Like I have problems with no one, I am just curious to how this process is gone about, and if we meet anyone before moving in.

We have you fill out a housing application online.  It goes through whether or not you are a morning person, messy, clean, etc.  It also has an 'about me' and 'your ideal' roommate section.  Now, that being said, try to avoid putting 'I love dolphins' and try to be a little bit more descriptive! Things such as, 'working out is important to me, I love to read, DIY projects are my thing' are totally legit adn good items to put down!
Now, I think I saw that you are coming to an Accepted Student Day, if you meet someone there, you guys can totally write each other's names down and be roommates.  I know a couple of guys have a roommate discussion going on in the Accepted Student Group-Fall 2014 as well so feel free to start one for the ladies!
And finally, you will have your roommate usually by July so you guys have the rest of the summer to coordinate everything about your room for fall!
    PHEW! Hope that helps :)

    Hey Alexis,

You can find the housing application here:

Basically you fill out what kind of roommate you are and what kind of roommate you are looking for. Housing tries to match up students based on study habits, sleeping habits, and hobbies and interests.

If for some reason the roommate situation doesn't work out well, I have heard that housing is pretty good about roommate switches.

    Hope this helps!
