If you are struggling to get a working schedule for spring (i.e.: you’ve tried several times to rearrange your schedule to use open sections of classes, but have not been successful), you can petition the appropriate academic department to add you to a full section of a class.  The contact information is at the link below. It is not always possible, but they will do what they can to help you.

You also have the option to wait a little bit to see if a section opens back up--as an example, sometimes spring schedules need to be adjusted after people see their winter grades.

If you have questions, please stop by our office.

DON'T FORGET THE WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 20TH!

The deadline for withdrawing from all classes is Friday of the 10th week of the quarter. (You may not drop individual classes after the 8th week.)  For the winter 2014-15 quarter, the deadline is 4:30 pm on Friday, February 20th.  Withdrawal forms are available on the wall outside of the Registrar's Office (CC365) and as an attachment on this blog post. These forms must be completed and signed by CCSD, Counseling Services, and Housing (if you are living in the resident halls).  The withdrawal form must be received by the Registrar's Office before the deadline.

Each student is responsible for his or her academic schedule.  Failure to withdraw by the deadline means that you will receive a final grade in each of your classes.

Want to know how to find out what your registration date and time is for the spring quarter or check if you have any holds on your account?

Please see the attachment for details on how to use my.msoe.edu and scheduler to create your spring quarter schedule.

Update Your Address

Posted by Registrar's Office Nov 19, 2014

Please take a moment to update your address if you have not already done so.

  • You may make changes to your local and permanent addresses via  my.msoe.edu.  To do so, click on the Students Tab.  Then, on the right hand side, follow the directions listed under Address and Phone Number Updates.  For residence hall addresses, you do not need to include city, state, or zip code. Please do not update addresses to include the country unless it is something other than the United States.  You will not see the changes immediately as they are sent to our office for approval before your information is updated.
  • You can also fill out a Change of Address Form which is located on the HUB and can be found here: http://www.msoe.edu/docs/DOC-4790.  Please submit the form to the Registrar’s Office.
  • If you are an international student, you must fill out the Change of Address Form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office.  A signature from the International Student Advisor is required before any changes can be made.

Summer Quarter Report Cards

Summer report cards will be available within MyMSOE beginning Wednesday, September 3rd.

If you have a release on file to send a report card to a third party (parent, scholarship, company, fraternity, etc), those report cards will still be mailed.

If you need a copy of your report card mailed to you, please email the Registrar's Office if you have not already done so in a previous quarter.  For those students who request that grades be mailed to them, they will be mailed to your permanent address during the summer quarter.

To access your grade report:

o Login to MyMSOE using your email login and password.

o Click on the Students tab (tab along the top).

o Click on the Grade Info tab (tab on the left under where it says Students in black).

o Go to the Grade Report section of the page.

o Change the Term if needed.

o Click on View Final Grade Report link.

o Choose correct year and term from dropdown.

o Click on MSOE Printable Grade Report link (bottom of screen).

Due to the varied lengths of the summer school classes, our office will be performing GPA updates at different times throughout the remainder of the term.  Therefore, grades will not be available for viewing as soon as they are entered by the instructor.  They will, however, be available shortly after.
