MSOE students are well-known for going above and beyond, and the Jenna Harvestine and her team “PURE” are no exception. They developed an innovative delivery method for curcumin, a natural spice with anti-cancer properties, to be taken orally. They discovered that by encapsulating the curcumin in citrus extract, it can move past the stomach and dissolve in the colon, producing a greater medicinal effect. It’s a little pill that can have a big impact on people’s lives.
