Team ELO’s Smart Chessboard is a chessboard with a brain. It’s designed to help get new players into the game by using lights to guide the player and warn them of illegal moves. It can also challenge more experienced players by allowing them to face the computer alone. The chessboard isn’t much thicker than a normal chessboard, and it’s in a nicely cut wooden box, with the computer screen in a cradle on one side.
