hey lets think about this....

I'm not part of the club, nor do I know how to knit or crochet! I'm sending this email because my younger sister recently joining a volunteer group called NLOB (new life for old Bags) Plainfield in my hometown and I fee like what this group does could be interesting for your group.

From what I understand, they use used plastic grocery bags and turn them into mats that they give to homeless shelters.

They make these mats by cutting the bags into strips, tying them together, and crocheting the strings into thick mats.

They end up looking like this: https://www.facebook.com/NlobPlainfieldIl/photos/pcb.506559206129502/506558536129569/?type=1&relevant_count=2

They posted a video on how they make the mats as well with more detail then I could tell you:

When I heard about this, I thought it was a fantastic idea and that the Yarn Engineers might be interested.

Have a great weekend,
