Millennium Trilogy: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest

What is it about the late Stieg Larsson’s worldwide-bestselling suspense series? Why did so
many U.S. readers slog through the first 100 (let’s say it: boring) pages of “Dragon Tattoo”—
only to be so impatient for the third book that they ordered it shipped from England rather
than await its publication months later in America? Come spend an evening discussing the
appeal of Lisbeth Salander, one of the most resourceful and fascinating anti-heroines in
literature, and Mikael Blomkvist, an investigative reporter so intrepid that his character in the
Hollywood-filmed version of the series is played by Daniel Craig, the current James Bond.
