Synopsis
Our Town was first produced and published in 1938 to wide acclaim. This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama of life in the town of Grover’s Corners, an allegorical representation of all life, has become a classic. It is Thornton Wilder’s most renowned and most frequently performed play.

Presenter

Dr. Katherine Wikoff is an associate professor in the General Studies Department at Milwaukee School of Engineering. She teaches a variety of writing, literature, and technical communication courses within the department, and she also frequently teaches a technical communication training course at Harley-Davidson. From 1995 till 2001, Dr. Wikoff reviewed romance fiction in a monthly book review column for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  The Journal Sentinel has published many of her feature articles on the romance fiction genre, as well as her interviews with bestselling novelists Nora Roberts, Judith Krantz, and Debbie Macomber.  In addition to her work on romance fiction, Dr. Wikoff's poetry, fiction, and nonfiction have appeared in several consumer, literary, academic, and trade magazines. Dr. Wikoff has led recent Great Books programs on Uncle Tom's Cabin, Proof: A Play, The Lord of the Rings, A Raisin in the Sun, Don Quixote, and The Woman Warrior.
