FIRST Robotics Summer Programs
Whether you've never heard of FIRST before or you're a seasoned competitor, MSOE has camps designed for every level of student! Design, build and code your own robot during camp. Students participating in FIRST Robotics will leave with helpful tips and tricks to help them during the competition season, and students with no FIRST experience will get the explore all that the world of robotics offers.
Introduction to Robotics
For students entering grades 4–6 in 2021-2022
Both sessions are full at this time. Use the registration link on the right to sign up for the program waitlist.
Session 1: July 7th - 9th, 2021 | 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Session 2: August 11th - 13th, 2021 | 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Program Investment: $85
Students will learn how to code and build a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot. Students will explore real world challenges while discovering and building solutions that are enabled by utilizing robotics.

FIRST Lego League Missed Season
For students entering grades 5–8 in 2021-2022
July 26th - 30th, 2021 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Program Investment: $150
In a weeklong program, students will learn how to code a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot as well as how to select and control mechanical components. Students will use their robots to complete missions on an official FIRST Lego League game board from a previous challenge year.
Advanced Robotics & Artificial Intelligence
For students entering grades 7-9 in 2021-2022
August 2nd - 4th, 2021 | 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Program Investment: $195
In the morning, students will learn about the 5 Big Ideas in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and then be challenged to solve a problem of their choosing requiring them to code Cozmo, our AI robot. In the afternoon, students will focus on the mechanical aspects of buidling an AI robot.
Lunch is included each day along with all course materials and supplies.
Additional Information for All Camps
Additional information will be sent out to participants 2 weeks prior to the camp start. Note that drop off begins no more than 15 minutes before class starts and pick-up ends 15 minutes after class ends.
