Beyond STEM

Beyond STEM provides programming that seeks to ignite curiosity and interest within students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Their Saturday Series program is designed for middle school students, grades 6th-8th. Designed to expose, challenge and excite!

Building2Learn hosts their summer code camp and associated academic year programming at MSOE. Students focus on digital citizenship, robotics and coding in an effort to expose students to two types of code: codes of ethics and codes that program printers and other machines.

Destination Imagination

Destination Imagination (DI) engages participants in project-based challenges that are designed to build confidence and develop extraordinary creativity, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. MSOE hosts an annual Instant Challenge Workshop for K-12 teams in the Milwaukee area each January to prepare teams for their competition season.  

FIRST Robotics

MSOE is proud to be the Wisconsin State Affiliate for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and an avid supporter of all levels of FIRST. We offer a number of in-house programs along with supporting FIRST WI led events such as seasonal kick-offs, regional competition socials, and off-season events.

GE Girls

MSOE has partnered with GE to offer a week-long, summer program to engage young ladies in middle school with chemistry, electricity, software development and more in fun ways to spark their interest in STEM.

Gearbox Labs

Gearbox Labs has partnered with MSOE to provide unique ARDUINO curriculum in our tech based outreach programs. Gearbox Labs is hosting summer programs in ARDUINO in partnership with MSOE along with providing curriculum training for educators in the near future.

Girl Scouts of Southeastern Wisconsin (GSWISE)

GSWISE partners with MSOE each fall to host a Girl Scout STEM Day focused on enabling Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Girl Scouts to complete STEM badges in a single day alongside MSOE and industry volunteers. In the winter, GSWISE and GE Healthcare host their Daisy & Brownie Goldie Blox event to earn Goldie Blox badges.

Girls STEM Academy

Run in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation and Milwaukee Bucks, Girls STEM Academy provides a one of kind opportunity for young women of color from select MPS schools to immerse themselves in a one-week residential STEM camp at MSOE.

Milwaukee Rowing Club

The MSOE Rowing team and Milwaukee Rowing Club (MRC) have partnered together to host the academic year program known as STEM to Stern. Designed for middle school students in select schools, STEM to Stern brings together academics and athletics in a one of kind model that pairs STEM programs alongside swimming and rowing.

National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT)

MSOE is proud to be an Academic Alliance member of NCWIT. MSOE’s STEM team partners with NCWIT award winners through the AspireIT program to help high school students host impactful workshops in technology for middle school students.

Three Harbors Council - Boy Scouts of America

MSOE hosts two annual events in the spring with Three Harbors Council: a Cub Scout STEM Fair and a Scouts, BSA Merit Badge day. Both events bring together MSOE and industry volunteers alongside Scouting leaders to create one of kind STEM experiences for all ages of scouts.
