High school students - learn about the quickly growing field of User Experience (UX) by focusing on creating products in alien-centered (or human-centered) ways. Over the course of the day, you'll get to work on a design challenge to solve problems for aliens and to get to an end product. You'll learn about the latest tools of the trade and rely on techniques and games that UX professionals at technology companies like Google and Facebook, use on a daily basis. You'll need to stay on your toes to keep up with the fast-paced, interactive activities that will leave you with multiple artifacts to show in your portfolio for applying to the top intergalactic consulting agencies and top universities. You'll play Xbox and experience virtual reality with Oculus Rift and Google cardboard during breaks and lunch at MSOE's new Diercks Computational Science Hall. Registration is $30.
