Sean MacAveny '16 will talk about his current research on applying machine learning and natural language processing techniques to better understand mental health conditions for text, as well as his experiences applying for and attending graduate school. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and pizza will be served.

Sean graduated from MSOE in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Georgetown University. While at MSOE, Sean completed the undergraduate research sequence. He also completed research fellowships at the Max Planck Institute and Adobe Systems.
