*This page is rarely updated, come to a meeting if you want to know more about our group*
You're lucky enough to have stumbled upon the COOLEST part of the HUB, the MSOE Game Dev Group page! Interested in game development? You're in the right place, this student org is meant to provide you with (or at least point you to) some resources so you can get your hands dirty actually making games! How cool is that?
Maybe it's not as cool as you're thinking... No one in this group has very notable experience developing games (yet), and no one is going to make you an outstanding game developer but yourself. I created this group after I got inspired and started playing around with a few dev kits that are freely available. Back in high school I messed around with Unreal Editor a bit. I have also taken the sole course at this school dedicated to video game development. That is the extent of my game development experience, so don't think I'll have the answers to all of your questions.
Anyway, thanks for visiting and please help yourself to the various polls and questions on this page. Feel free to ask/make your own, and remember that our first meeting is next Monday the 17th (please attend in-person if you can). Finally, I hope you like what you see here and that it inspires you to take the reigns and start creating.
These pages are a little too text heavy for my liking so I'm guessing it's also too text heavy for yours! I will include graphics throughout whenever I have legal access and the time needed to acquire/position them. If you're on this page and think you have a helpful/cool graphic to go along with one of the groups postings (blog, overview, discussion, whatever) then by all means please get in touch with me:
As soon as people join and begin creating and sharing content, you'll begin seeing activity here. Create something now to get started!
Also very important to figure out! Let me know if I missed any.
