High school students put their computer, math and science skills to the test during Milwaukee School of Engineering’s annual Opportunity Conference in November. A total of 81 teams competed at the OP Conference, which gives high school students the opportunity to demonstrate excellence in academic pursuits.

OP Conference Computer Competition (50 teams/200 students)

3rd place: Whitewater High School (Team C), Whitewater, Wis.

OP Conference Math Competition (19 teams/152 students)
1st place: Homestead High School, Mequon, Wis.
2nd place: Brookfield Academy (Team 1), Brookfield, Wis.
3rd place: Lake Forest Academy, Lake Forest, Ill.

OP Conference Science Competition (12 teams/96 students)
1st place: Vernon Hills High School (Team 1), Vernon Hills, Ill.
2nd place: Libertyville High School (Team 1), Libertyville, Ill.
3rd place: Lockport Township High School (Team 1), Lockport, Ill.
