Nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate students in engineering majors, the Rader School of Business and School of Nursing will receive their bachelor’s or master’s degrees at Milwaukee School of Engineering’s (MSOE) Fall Commencement, Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Kern Center.

MSOE Regent Kendall Breunig ’79, P.E. will receive an Honorary Doctor of Engineering degree.

Casey Mickschl, of La Crescent, Minnesota, is the class respondent. Mickschl is graduating with high honors and will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Amelia Braman, of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, will receive the Alumni Association Award. Recipients of this prestigious award are first nominated by faculty members in their respective academic departments and then the entire graduating class selects from among its peers the student who is most deserving. She is graduating with high honors and will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Breunig is principal of Sunset Investors in Franklin, Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural and Building Construction Engineering Technology from MSOE and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University. Breunig became an MSOE Corporation member in 2002 and was elected to the MSOE Board of Regents in 2015. As a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Breunig’s career has focused on real estate development and management. Sunset Investors led the redevelopment of the historically designated Pritzlaff Building, Plankinton Lofts and Commission House Condominiums in Milwaukee, and several condominium complexes in Germantown, Franklin and New Berlin, Wisconsin. In addition, he is president of Breunig Engineering Inc., managing member of E Z Self Storage LLP, and corporate secretary of Coating Place Inc.
