MSOE named a top university for job placement by LinkedIn
Milwaukee School of Engineering was ranked 6th for job placement by LinkedIn’s 2026 Top Colleges. The Top Colleges ranking, which debuted last year, uses LinkedIn data to identify U.S. schools that best set their graduates up for career success.
LinkedIn develops its Top Colleges rankings based on five pillars: job placement, internships and recruiter demand, career success, network strength, and knowledge breadth. For its job placement ranking, LinkedIn tracks the percentage of alumni from recent graduate cohorts (2020–2025) that start a full-time position or a graduate school program within the same year of graduating. This assessment is based on LinkedIn hiring data.
MSOE’s graduates saw a 96% career outcomes rate for the class of 2024–25, along with an average starting salary of $77,161. The career fairs at MSOE bring hundreds of employers and graduate schools to campus, providing opportunities for students to meet with industry experts and discuss internships, co-ops, full-time jobs and graduate programs.
