MSOE welcomes new VP of development and alumni relations
A national search has concluded with the appointment of Jeff Snow as vice president of development and alumni relations at Milwaukee School of Engineering. Snow will join the university’s leadership team on April 20. He most recently has served as the director of college advancement for the University of Kentucky College of Engineering where he was responsible for planning and managing the college’s $110 million capital campaign.
“Jeff has exceptional fundraising and strategic planning skills. He was key to the development of my Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Kentucky and significantly increased philanthropic support for the College of Engineering,” said MSOE President John Y. Walz, Ph.D. “I’m looking forward to bringing his energy to MSOE as we embark on the strategic planning process and expanding MSOE’s academic reputation.”
Snow is a skilled development professional with more than 20 years of experience in higher education. Since the adoption of the UK College of Engineering’s strategic plan in 2014, philanthropic support has totaled over $65 million toward the $110 million goal. Snow previously held development roles at Valdosta State University, Georgia Southern University and the University of Central Florida. While at UCF, he developed a team that increased the total number of donors from 4,600 to 9,000 over a five year period, while at the same time increasing annual giving from $2.1 million to $6 million.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Valdosta State University; a master of education from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida. He and his wife Dr. Mia Alexander-Snow have two children, J.T. and Erin.
