The MSOE University Innovation Fellows (UIF) are hosting a free design thinking workshop, The Innovator’s Toolkit, during Startup Milwaukee Week on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Diercks Hall.

The Innovator’s Toolkit will share tools on how to integrate empathy into the design process. It will go through everything from empathizing with customers to pitching a solution.

Design thinking consists of five basic actions: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. This fun, high-energy workshop will dive into each of these steps and provide participants with the tools they need to work through problems they may encounter at work or during product development.

The Fellows will guide participants through the design process with design techniques taught by Stanford University’s Institute of Design. The workshop will end with a product pitch and group discussion.

Interested participants may register online through Eventbrite.

The MSOE University Innovation Fellows are part of a global community of students. These student leaders from schools around the world create new opportunities that help their peers develop an entrepreneurial mindset, build creative confidence, seize opportunities, define problems and address global challenges.
