An implementation team comprised of campus community members is launched under the leadership of the senior advisor to the President to identify annual strategic priorities, discuss specific actions, and develop metrics for assessment.

As the pandemic recedes, Dr. Walz and the Leadership Team revisit the strategic plan, engaging Academic Leadership Associates, LLC in leading a group of campus community members to revise and update Extraordinary Together (2018-2023).

Two community forums are held to discuss and revise the strategic plan (January 2021 and April 2021).

Following the campus-wide, collaborative year-long process of defining the mission, values, commitments, strategies, and actions, the Board of Regents formally adopted Extraordinary Together (2018-2023), including highlighted first-year action items.

Open Forum

MSOE is mid-way through a five month long strategic planning process. The strategic framework around which the planning process is organized identifies both the direction-giving elements of the plan (mission, values, distinctive capabilities and measures) and its implementation elements (strategies and actions.) Members of the MSOE community responded to recommendations presented by several task forces organized around the following strategic areas: Education Programs, Scholarship, People, External Relations, and Internal Operations.

2-Day Strategic Planning Workshop

Members of the MSOE community joined Academic Leadership Associates, LLC for a two-day strategic planning workshop to discuss and define goals and expectations, process, stakeholders, mission, and strategies. Task forces were formed and charged with defining in greater detail strategies and key actions.
