The 210,000-square-foot facility is home to many campus offices, an ice arena, basketball arena, fitness center, field house, group exercise studio, recreational running track and wrestling area.
The Kern Center is open with normal capacity to current MSOE students, faculty/staff, and community members. All members must use their MSOE ID card to self-swipe at the front desk to gain access into the workout areas. Guests are allowed, but must sign a waiver and pay the guest pass fee. All workout spaces will be open for use if not being reserved for on-campus athletic and recreation events. All users are expected to abide by Kern Center guidelines and restrictions.
Kern Center Guidelines and Restrictions
Anyone displaying any signs of illness should not enter the building. The Kern Center follows all university policies regarding mask wearing. Locker rooms and showers are open for regular use. We ask that all members wipe down equipment after use and return equipment to its original spot. Basic operations are subject to change if warranted at any time.
