Programs for Families
Exploratory programs for elementary through high school students allow for project-based learning on a college campus. Programs are offered throughout the school year and in the summer to fit your family's busy schedule. A variety of STEM programs provide endless opportunities to learn in a fun, hands-on environment.

Summer 2022 Programs
We offer a variety of summer programs annually for students entering grades 1 – 9. To view 2022 summer programs, view our newsletter here.

Academic Year Programs
The following programs are run at the STEM Center during the academic year. To stay up to date for all offerings, especially pop-up programs, subscribe to our mailing list using the link in the side bar. Scholarships are available for all programs; please contact STEM with any questions.
Coding Clubs (Grades 5 – 12)
Coding clubs run in two sessions annually – a fall/winter session and a spring session – and provide weekly coding opportunities for any student in grades 5 – 12. Each year both beginner and intermediate coding options are available in a variety of languages along with both co-ed and girl focused clubs. Clubs meet one evening per week at the STEM Center. Technology is provided on site for any students who need it.
Fall coding clubs for 2021-2022 run October – January. Spring 2022 coding clubs run March – May.
Community FIRST Robotics Team (Grades 9 – 12)
MSOE’s FIRST FRC team - Milwaukee Cyber Cheese (MC2) -is open to any high school student who wishes to compete in the FIRST FRC level competition but does not have a team at their school to join. Any high school student in the area (public, private, homeschool, charter, etc.) is welcome.
The team is in session from January – March annually and families are encouraged to register no later than early January so that your student can be involved in all team decisions for the season.
For 2022, MC2 meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from Noon – 3:00 p.m. until the Milwaukee Regional in late March. If the team advances to the world championship, practices will continue through April. Students must be in high school and able to show up consistently - at least twice a week. It's ok if your student is unable to arrive until 4:30 or 5:00. Students must be able to be taken out of school March 24th and 25th, 2022 for the regional competition held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Pop Up Programs (All Grades)
Throughout the year, ad hoc programming opportunities are offered for a variety of ages and in different topics. These opportunities are broadcasted through our mailing list and examples include:
