The Graduate Certificate in Fluid Power prepares students to develop in-depth engineering skills in the fields of hydraulics and controls. After completing the program, students will be able to understand the fundamental principles of fluid power systems and electrohydraulic systems with an opportunity to choose technical electives in areas such as tribology, fluid power simulation, and system condition monitoring.

Upon completion of the certificate program, students will be able to:

  • Design and develop fluid power systems.
  • Analyze electrohydraulic components and systems.
  • Evaluate control strategies used in fluid power systems.

MSOE students interested in this certificate should have junior standing (60-89 credits) and be enrolled in our Mechanical Engineering program and be in good academic standing with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

External applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
