Designed by Rexnord engineers, the system provides 24/7 real-time monitoring, maintenance reminders, and issues alerts to save money and help increase productivity. The Rexnord team will demonstrate how the system puts sensor data into context and recommends actions to make the job easier.

Designing Computing Platforms for High-Performance Workloads

More powerful processors, GPUs and accelerators enable processing large-scale data at a rate never seen before. Developing hardware-based solutions for high-performance computational workloads is difficult given the broad range of system development challenges. Dedicated Computing will demonstrate various methods and techniques that holistically leverage technologies to properly accelerate and provide the most impactful approach to incorporating AI and data analytics into products used in life sciences, healthcare, industrial automation, training and simulation.

Anatomage Table: Virtual Dissection of the Human Body

The Anatomage Table is the only fully segmented real human 3D anatomy system. Users can visualize anatomy exactly as they would on a fresh cadaver. Individual structures are reconstructed in accurate 3D, resulting in an unprecedented level of real accurate anatomy, dissectible in 3D. Anatomy is presented as a fully interactive, life-sized touch screen experience, in operatory bed form. The table allows for exploration and learning of human anatomy beyond what any cadaver could offer.

AI Threat Intelligence – Collecting Cybercrime DNA

Take a look into the use of AI in fighting cybercriminal organizations. We will start with a brief history of malware management, sandbox capabilities, and other AI systems used to rapidly identify and block threats. As these systems are linked, more powerful capabilities emerge, creating the ability to ‘fingerprint’ attacks according to methodology frameworks, creating patterns that can be used for further analysis. We will then discuss how orchestrated attacks can be similarly analyzed and linked upwards to cybercrime organizations, providing the potential to use current technologies to develop predictive attack insight.

Synthesis of Medical Images with Deep Neural Networks

Presented by Dr. Josiah Yoder, assistant professor

In this interactive demo, you will control the input to a generative adversarial network (GAN) that produces histology images. As you make adjustments, it will smoothly transition from one microscopic view of stained tissue to another. The images produced by this GAN are large and clear – undistinguishable from real histology slides (to the untrained eye). They may be used to improve our understanding and treatment of prostate cancer. These networks were developed by MSOE students and faculty in conjunction with the Medical College of Wisconsin.
