Arrival Day: MSOE Welcome Week Begins!

Moving In and Getting Settled

Welcome week leaders and Residence Life staff will be here to help you check in and move your belongings to you room. Ready? Check out the move in and laptop schedule!

Raider Resources and Laptop Pickup
10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Campus Center

Pick up your laptop, then swing by the Bookstore for some MSOE gear and your first quarter textbooks. While you are there, grab some lunch, sign up for upcoming programs and events, meet with various resources on campus. The Student Financial Services Team will also provide an overview on how to understand financial aid and student accounts at 10 a.m, noon, and 2 p.m. (held in RWJ Cafeteria). They will go over frequently asked questions, concerns and other important topics that could impact student’s financial aid or account.

Maximize Your Buzz

Maximize Your Buzz is the highly sought-after alcohol program that treats students like adults, not third-graders. Through comedy, multimedia, and practical advice, students learn to make values-based choices about alcohol. With a practical message blended with a lighthearted approach, students will leave having had a great time, as well as, equipped with safe practices to make healthier choices, reduce high-risk drinking, and taking care of friends who over-indulged.

Hear from Jose Bowen on how to make the most of your college experience in and out of the classroom and how that impacts life here on campus. Zero Shades of Gray
2 p.m., Kern Center Arena

Zero Shades Of Gray sets the tone that sexual assault is black and white. There are no disclaimers, no clauses, and no fine print when it comes to how people feel about being sexually assaulted or raped. It’s serious to the victim, and this seminar helps students understand that this isn’t a victim problem, it’s a problem on all levels. Students will leave equipped with safe practices for better decision-making.
