Job Description

Campus Inclusion Assistants (CSAs) are student leaders within MSOE’s Campus Inclusion Office who support first-year through fourth-year Cohort Scholars (NACME, AIM, SDS & any other Partner School scholar) through mentorship, community-building, and leadership development. Campus Inclusion Assistants will work 3-6 hours per week during the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor first-year students and foster an inclusive, welcoming environment
  • Support students’ academic, personal, and transitional needs. Demonstrate knowledge of campus resources in order to provide academic, personal support and referral
  • Plan and lead programs, events, and workshops throughout the year for Cohort Scholars
  • Hype Huddle Lead for the cohorts
  • Rising Raiders Student Leader 

Time Commitment:

  • Academic Year: Part-time (3–6 hrs/week)

Academic Year Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate programming and initiatives, including Semester Kick Offs, monthly Community Events, Career Programming, and Cohort Scholar Traditions
  • Staff weekly study nights, provide Scholar updates and encourage cohort academic collaboration
  • Assist in facilitating workshops and lead huddles for RSC 1010/2010/1011 & 2011 course
  • Support in the recruitment and selection process for Campus Inclusion Assistants in the next hiring cycle
  • Represent Scholar Cohorts and assist at the Admitted Student Receptions
  • Attend regular meetings and maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Track student engagement and complete administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist students with personal, academic, and transitional concerns
  • Create marketing materials for Campus Inclusion programs; promote SDS
  • Be responsible for CSA staff privileges (keys, office equipment, etc.)
  • Maintain confidentially and objectively in all matters related to students
  • Attend regular 1:1 and team meetings with supervisor, and optional RCAS professional development training
  • Create end-of-year transition reports for the incoming Campus Inclusion Assistants
  • Additional projects as assigned; passion projects are encouraged and welcomed

Qualifications:

  • Current Scholar entering junior year (2025–2026)
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA; full-time enrollment required
  • Available for all trainings, evenings/weekends, and flexible scheduling
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to inclusion
