Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

For students entering grades 4–6 in 2021-2022
Both sessions are full at this time. Use the registration link on the right to sign up for the program waitlist.
Session 1: July 7th - 9th, 2021 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
Session 2: August 11th - 13th, 2021 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Program Investment: $85 

Artificial Intelligence is the future, and students must be prepared for it. This program will give students the opportunity to learn how AI can positively impact society.  Students will learn to code AI robots to produce small scale, real life scenarios. Learning will take place through playing and analyzing games and building ideas with their teammates. Students will be able to:

  • define basic concepts in the field of AI
  • describe functions of AI as well as current limitations
  • apply principles of coding to demonstrate understanding of AI concepts
  • evaluate applications of AI technologies  

Course fee covers all technology, instruction and a light snack daily for students.

Exploring Artificial Intelligence

For students entering grades 1–3 in 2021-2022

July 12th - 14th, 2021 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Program Investment: $60

This program will give students the opportunity to learn through hands on “unplugged” lessons & lessons using our Artificial Intelligence robots.  Students will explore the idea that a computer can “think” by perceiving and reasoning.  They will develop an understanding of Facial Recognition and basic coding.  Learning will take place through playing and analyzing games and building ideas with their teammates.  

Course fee covers all technology, instruction and a light snack daily for students.

Additional information will be sent out to participants 2 weeks prior to the camp start. Note that drop off begins no more than 15 minutes before class starts and pick-up ends 15 minutes after class ends.
