Job Description: 

The Grohmann Tower is home to the MSOE Residence Hall with apartment-style living. As a Tower Assistant (TA), you will be a part of a 20+ student team of workers who work to provide our summer residents a quality living experience in a 14-story high-rise apartment complex. Summer Tower Assistants will be paid $13.00 an hour and can work up to 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Student staff will work morning/afternoon/evening cleaning shifts. 
• Vacuuming of various building areas/floors. 
• Cleaning apartments. 
• Assist with interior painting, furniture repair, & special projects. 
• Staff will assist with furniture installations and apartment set-ups and take-downs. 
• Assist with resident check-ins/outs, mail/package check-ins/outs, responding to resident concerns, & submitting work orders. 
• Providing tours. 
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor. 

Qualifications:

• TA's must be able to freely move throughout the Tower.
• Capable of moving furniture/appliances.
• Able to move metal dumpsters. 
• Able to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to work well with others and as part of a team. 
• Previous experience not needed, but having a customer-focused perspective is valuable. 

Hours:

Staffing hours can begin as early as 7:30am each day & can continue until 9:00pm each evening (7 days a week).
