We’re excited you’ve chosen MSOE! The next step in joining the MSOE community is to choose your ROAR option. ROAR is the required orientation for all incoming MSOE to support your transition to the university. Our programs are designed to familiarize yourself with the community that will support and give you the confidence to begin your Raider journey on the right foot.

Step 1: Choose the ROAR option that best meets your needs

OPTION 1: In-person ROAR

This orientation option, designed for students transitioning to a fully immersive MSOE college life experience with less than 30 credits from their previous college experience(s), will include sessions on:

  • Building community amongst other first-year students and your orientation leader, a current MSOE student.
  • Recognizing the people, spaces, and campus resources that support your personal growth and academic journey.
  • Understanding academic expectations at your new university to ease the transition to MSOE.

For the guests that will join you for the in-person ROAR, they will participate in their own mini-MSOE orientation, gathering additional information that will help on your academic journey. Their sessions include:

  • Learning about the inner workings of tuition billing, payment/financial account information, and financial aid opportunities
  • Understanding how to support your independence and growth while navigating academics, careers, and involvement
