Award Overview 

This award has been created to support students pursuing a study abroad experience in a new country and culture, with a focus on intercultural learning, global engagement, and academic/personal growth.

• Amount: Two $500 awards will be granted annually
• Application Opens: February 1, 2026
• Application Deadline: August 1, 2026
• Recipients will be notified mid-August

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must: 

• Be currently enrolled as a full-time MSOE undergraduate student 
• Have a 2.8 or higher cumulative GPA at the time of application 
• Have completed required documents to participate MSOE-approved summer, semester or year-long study abroad program (see question 10)
• Not plan to study abroad in their home country

Applicants should also demonstrate: 

• A strong interest in global learning and intercultural engagement
• Commitment to sharing their experience with the MSOE community upon their return
• A clear financial need that would benefit from the award
