Resident Meal Plans – 2015-2016
$1,157/qtr (includes 140 meals plus $135 in meal dollars)
$1,058/qtr (includes 105 meals plus $110 in meal dollars)
$951/qtr (includes 80 meals plus $90 in meal dollars)

Commuter Meal Plans
The commuter meal plan can only be used in the RWJ Cafeteria. It cannot be used in Skylight Marketplace, Roscoe’s, vending, bookstore or copiers. The commuter meal plan will be active for the fiscal year from the time of purchase through the last day of Spring Quarter. The plan will carry forward from quarter to quarter until the last day of Spring Quarter. No refunds will be given for remaining meals.
To purchase a commuter Meal Plan, stop by the Office of Student Accounts and let them know how many meals you would like to purchase. They will add the plan to your ID account and affix a label to your MSOE ID.
10 meals: $ 79.60

A label identifying the commuter meal plan must be attached to the back of the participating person’s MSOE ID.
If you lose your ID, another label may be obtained from the Student Account Office when a new ID is purchased.
Meal Plan Procedure and Participation Requirements
Meal plans are added to student accounts within a week before each quarter. Students have the option of changing meal plans for Winter and Spring Quarters. Balances from the Meals and Meal Dollars carry forward, but are lost at the end of Spring Quarter. If you are a summer resident, meal plan balances and meal dollars remaining will remain for use during the summer through the last day of July.
If you withdraw from MSOE prior to the end of the contract period, refunds will be authorized for meal account balances as follows:
Refunds for Fall Quarter
From the date of adding the Meal Plan through Friday of the second week of Fall Quarter, students leaving the residence halls will be refunded meals based on the ‘cost per meal,’ plus meal dollar balance, minus a $35.00 administrative fee.
Starting the third week of Fall Quarter, students leaving the residence halls will be refunded meals at the meal equivalency value of $3.00 per remaining meal balance, plus meal dollar balance, minus a $35.00 administrative fee.
Refunds for Winter and Spring Quarters
From the date of adding the Meal Plan through Friday of the second week of Winter and Spring Quarters students leaving the residence halls will be refunded meals based on the ‘cost per meal,’ plus meal dollar balance for the “CURRENT MEAL PLAN,” minus a $35.00 administrative fee. Meal balances from the previous quarter(s) will not be included in this calculation. Previous quarter meal balances will be refunded at the meal equivalency value of $3.00 per meal and meal dollars will be refunded based on the account balance minus a $35.00 administrative fee.
Extra Meals purchased at the meal equivalency value of $3.00 per meal will carry from quarter to quarter. In August, before new Meal Plans are imported to accounts, any remaining ‘Extra Meals’ will be converted to Raider Plan money at the meal equivalent per meal.
Meal Equivalents (use of meals at Roscoe’s or Skylight Marketplace)
Any remaining money from the use of meals at Roscoe’s or Skylight Marketplace will be refunded to the respective Meal Dollar plan. (Example: With a meal equivalency of $3.00, if you spend $2.25 and use a Meal for payment, the $.75 will be refunded to your Meal Dollar plan.)
All refunds are based upon the official date of withdrawal from MSOE. This is the date that all keys and required forms have been turned in to the MSOE Housing Office at Johnson Hall. Under no circumstances will refunds of end-of-year balances be authorized.
RWJ Dining Hall
The RWJ Dining Hall is the only dining hall on campus, and serves all three residence halls. Most resident students will eat a majority of their meals here. In addition to traditional dining fare, Food Services staff offers a variety of exciting and fun meals, holiday dinners and special events throughout the academic year.
Breakfast: 7:15-9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Friday & Saturday
Dinner: 4:30-6 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday
Brunch: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Roscoe’s is a fast food restaurant located on the ground floor of Regents Hall.
Friday & Saturday
Roscoe’s is closed during the summer.
The Skylight Marketplace is located on the third floor of the Student Life and Campus Center and features soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, hot meals, pizza, snacks and beverages.
