Incoming First Year Students
Orientation for the newest Raiders!
ROAR is the required orientation for all incoming MSOE first-year students. It’s your first opportunity to build relationships, explore campus resources, and meet the people who will support you throughout your Raider journey.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Register for ROAR
Choose your ROAR date by signing into your Admissions Portal. Registration is currently closed.
When you register, you will:
- Select a program date (listed in the registration form)
- Share any dietary needs and disability accommodations
- Include parent and guest information.
After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email and a follow-up email with detailed event information closer to your program date.
2. Complete Your Admitted Student Next Steps
- Upload your Raider ID Card Photo (Photo must be approved to receive your student ID at ROAR)
- Complete ALEKS – Math Assessment for course placement
- Apply for housing through your Admitted Student Portal
- Submit your final transcripts
3. Attend ROAR
During ROAR, you will:
- Connect with other incoming students through interactive sessions led by your Orientation Leader
- Recognize the people, spaces, and campus resources that support your personal growth and academic journey
- Understand academic expectations and how to navigate your transition to college life
- Take care of important next steps so you feel confident and ready to begin classes
Event Details
- Location: Kern Center, 1245 N Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202
- Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Parking: Parking will be available at 501 E. State St., Milwaukee, WI 53202 (State Street A Parking Lot). Check the campus map for exact locations. Please note, we cannot reimburse parking in other lots.
Students and guests will attend separate sessions throughout the day.
