Your Campus ID Card

The MSOE ID card is the official identification card for all university students, staff and faculty. Your MSOE photo ID card also is used for your MSOE Raider Plan, Meal Plan, Meal Dollars, Book Slip,  door access, and Kern Membership! Your card/account is activated and then accepted at all locations where the MSOE ID card is accepted, even some off-campus merchants. Every time you make a purchase the card reader or your receipt shows your balance.

Included on all cards:

  • Raider Plan
  • Meal Plans and Meal Dollars
  • Kern Center Memberships
  • Building Access – Door access to outside doors and specific labs on campus as needed for your major.
  • Book slips
    • Registered students only
    • Specific time for use: Monday of the 11th week through Friday of first week of classes each quarter.
    • Active within one hour of registration for classes.
    • Tell Bookstore cashier you want to use the book slip plan.
    • Your Bookstore purchases will be charged to your student account along with your tuition.

  • Commuter Meal Plan
  • EECS Parts
    • Select courses in EECS
    • A plan that allows you to charge parts needed for lab projects in specific classes throughout the quarter.
    • These charges will be charged to your Student Account along with your tuition
  • Student Advantage Discount Program

Multiple Meal Plans
Your account attached to the ID card will have multiple plans on your account. When multiple plans are utilized, each plan balance is reported individually. When two or more plans are valid, the “first” plan allowed for the location is used until it reaches a $0 balance – THEN the “next” plan allowed for the location is automatically accessed. The balance shown on the reader or receipt is for the last plan used from your account. Those with meal plans and the attached meal dollar account have the option of using “meals” or “meal dollars” for their purchase at on campus food locations.

Adding Funds to your Account
You may use your account to a $0 balance with no penalty. You may add additional funds during business hours in person at the Office of Student Accounts in the Campus Center with cash, check or bank card. You may also add funds at the GETfunds web site / GETfunds mobile site. Log in with your MSOE network username and password. You may log in to GETfunds to see your current balance, run a report of transactions, or report your id card stolen or found.
